New for 2021, CCM brings in the CCM Tacks 9550 JR Hockey Shin Guards targeting the entry-level or recreational player. The key features to look out for in this shin pad are the (JDP) Joint Displacing Protection molded (PE) polyethylene knee caps, PE foam throughout, and a wide calf strap with a removable liner. For the recreational players playing roughly 1-2 times a week, these shin pads are a perfect match.
Shin Protection
The face of the shin pad offers a lightweight shell design that offers reliable and functional protection. The shin is equipped with an anatomical polyethylene covering for additional protection from head on impacts.
Knee Cap & Protection
The JDP knee cap flex point offers more freedom of movement, plus JDP (Joint Dispersing Protection) construction helps disperse force away from your knee joint. This offers great protection to the knee when a player falls to the ice, slides into the boards, or simply makes contact with another player.
Calf Protection
The calf on the 9550 is protected with a full coverage polyethylene foam.
Liner
Internally, the 9550 offers a soft liner with an anatomical fit to the leg. The liner is also removable, giving players a quicker drying time between uses and the ability to throw the liner into the washer machine.
Strapping
The CCM Tacks 9550 offers a two-strap design. The upper strap is a nylon upper lock strap which is easily adjustable, and a wide elastic strap along the calf that securely holds the shin guard in place all game long.
Sizes
