Intro & New Features
The TRUE Catalyst comes into the 2023 season with a new series of goalie sticks. The Catalyst 9X3 is designed to deliver a lightweight yet robust feel, showcasing a classic shoulder shape that enhances durability, catering to the demands of elite goaltenders. The stick offers a powerful blend of responsiveness and power with features including Resflo, VSS, BAT, and a mid kick profile.

Shaft Construction
The stick showcases a square shaft with a standard shoulder, borrowing geometry cues that proved successful in the HZRDUS line. This stick also offers goalies a harmonious blend of tactile feedback and comfort, effectively damping shaft vibrations and minimizing stingers with TRUE’s Vibration Suppression System (VSS). The stick also incorporates PLD (Precision Laminate Design) for a stronger, more reinforced carbon weave, and Resflo (Focused Resin Flow) to reduce voids in the shaft’s laminate for even greater durability and a lighter weight.

Paddle Construction
This stick has a mid kick point for increased power and control on passes and when handling the puck.

The paddle is built with a robust construction reinforced with six strategically placed ribs. These ribs contribute to heightened stiffness and durability, enhancing the stick’s overall performance and longevity.

Blade Construction/Stiffness
The incorporation of BAT (Braided Rib) technology elevates performance by offering a dampened feel while optimizing balance and durability during intense gameplay. Complementing this innovation is an all-new foam core, which contributes to the stick’s exceptional responsiveness and enhanced puck control, further enhancing the goalie’s ability to dictate play on the ice.

Graphics
The 9X3 keeps the signature Catalyst honeycomb look with a bit more black and iridescent colouration.

Grip
The stick uses a soft gloss grip for both elite-level comfort and control when handling the stick and puck, as well as when making critical saves. In addition to its functional benefits, the muted aesthetic of the grip adds a touch of understated elegance to the stick’s design, combining form and function seamlessly on the ice.
